B’s verdict: Overkill for an apartment. The right backbone for a camera-heavy smart home that keeps adding devices — which is exactly the house the rest of this page builds.

What it is

The TP-Link Archer BE900 (paid link) is a flagship quad-band Wi-Fi 7 router — BE24000 class — built for houses where the network itself is the bottleneck: dozens of devices, and a rack of 4K cameras uploading at once.

List price $699.99 — checked Oct 29, 2026. (CamelCamelCamel’s tracked low is $399.99, Nov 17, 2025.) Prices change — check the link for the current price.

How it compares

vs mesh kits (Deco, Eero): mesh wins on dead-simple whole-home blankets. A flagship single router wins on raw wired backhaul, port count and per-device control — and this one can still EasyMesh outward later.

vs Wi-Fi 6E flagships: 6E was the bridge. Wi-Fi 7’s wider channels and multi-link operation are the actual step-change for a house full of 4K cameras uploading at once — the BE900 (paid link) is built for exactly that load.

The honest catches

It’s premium money, it’s physically big, and most homes’ internet plans can’t feed its top gear yet. You buy it for the local network, not the ISP speed.

B’s verdict

Sixteen cameras are only as smart as the Wi-Fi feeding them. If the rest of this page is your roadmap, this is the foundation.
